Medforol is a high-potency Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) injection used for the treatment and prevention of severe Vitamin D deficiency, rickets, osteomalacia, and hypocalcaemia. A single intramuscular dose provides depot supplementation that is gradually absorbed over weeks, making it ideal for patients with malabsorption, non-compliance with oral therapy, or confirmed severe deficiency. Vitamin D3 plays a critical role in calcium and phosphorus metabolism, bone mineralisation, immune function, and neuromuscular health. Not to be used in newborns or premature infants. For intramuscular use only; to be used under medical supervision.
