Mitopax-10 is a lyophilized cytotoxic antibiotic used in the treatment of various cancers including gastric, pancreatic, bladder, breast, and lung carcinomas. Mitomycin works by cross-linking DNA strands, thereby inhibiting DNA synthesis and causing cell death in rapidly dividing cancer cells. It is administered intravenously and must be used under the direct supervision of a qualified oncologist.
